We visit SUNDERLAND and find that YOU HAVE to MAKE A WEEKEND OF IT | TOURIST VIDEO UK 🇬🇧

When Jane said we have to make a Football Tourist Guide to Sunderland you are going to love it. I have found so much to do. OI have planned a great itinerary so we are staying over to fit it all in. I have to admit my initial reaction was Sunderland? are you sure? But boy did I enjoy this one.

There was so much that I filmed I struggled to get it edited and up on YouTube within a week or so and it got put on the back burner and then I was getting so down with Blackpool going down without a fight and Mick McCarthy football that I completely burned out with the Football Tourist Guides altogether and couldn't face making them anymore.

It was almost like a complete and utter 'writers block' and it is only now that I could face working on this. This is the FIRST of what I am thinking of as my "LOST FOOTBALL TOURIST GUIDES" from last season, there are some more to come so make sure you have the notification bell on to alert you to when I have posted up a new one.

I think that I have been able to start editing these again and have gotten my mojo back because the football has been slowly getting better this season and Blackpool are pushing for a playoff place so my mental state of mind can face the work involved in putting these together once more.

Hope you enjoy this and thanks to all of you that watch these you really mean a lot to us

From Lee Charles TV onto this channel so these from now on are brand new they're kind of The Lost Ones really CU I was frustrated last year with it all because I just felt that the football tourist guide videos were getting lost under all the other Match Day Vlogs so they've now

Got their own space they're now on here and this is as I say one of those that I did last season and I've just never got round to it it's just been like a a writer's block with me really so hope you enjoy this one it's our trip to

Streaks they were jet powered had four cannons and could carry nuclear bombs they were a development of the American f84 Thunder jet but this one had a nasty accident it crashed somewhere and um damaged its wings permanently so I'm afraid this thing will never fly again English electric lightning has two

Engines one at the top and one at the bottom and as one interesting feature it had fuel tanks at the top of the Wings the Hawker Hunter during the nir show there was a disaster and there and this aircraft compensated the air show by going beyond the speed of sound some

Amazing airplanes aren't they really are but there were so much more than planes as you can see what's in there oh there's a man on the toilet reading a paper cool look he's got paper his toilet roll as well oh gosh Yeah It was really interesting to see all the Blackpool heresy trams in this Museum James was absolutely fascinated with it all In the cupit of a tornado there's not a lot of room it's pretty tight in here i' got to say look what a great museum this is in the cockpit of one of those yeah so it's pretty tight I've got to say there's not a great deal of room a

Pure W so get up to the right take us turn right destination reached well done I'll be ready for the next mission one Look all everyone we're just going to make our way up to the pens sha Monument or the ear of dorham Monument it's actually on the Sunland badge as well and I've never even heard of it but it's nearly 200 years old 200 years old it looks like something from it looks like

Something from Greece from far away it's based on that it's quite a walk up to this folks go say what amazing Things it's absolutely huge at Jan there so what an amazing thing this is the black pool weather with us aren't we as well as the black pool tra we have yeah we then traveled into Sunderland to get some lunch and found this amazing restaurant which was an old fire state

Converted into a restaurant absolute eye candy just check this out another bridge is that a Railway Bridge you say making our way for some lunch part the Car nice little houses well look like where the pug that VI lived just across from the Minster which is there and here we are going for lunch bit of a wonky sign right and we go into the fire station Oh wow yeah wow that's toasty God that's impressive is it it's beautiful you can tell it's an old fire station how coill is That we get a pump fix here they quite nice chairs just everything about got padding to there he looking after for yeah he's going to make sure I eat healthily you think it is oh yeah oh yeah settle here now so you're having you're on the same as me yeah sum yeah

That was pretty cool Huntington's keeping an eye on Jane so I'm on the uh the sum as well that looks really really nice so next up we went to the Winter Gardens where there was actually dinosaurs and as we know Jane loves a Dinosaur might make a donation see it fly right okay yeah this is better oh Yeah weird taxi Journey going on Here oh no oh Oh oh oh love Jan if You' got dinosaurs sun is a winner Yeah yeah like water don't know boy wow they Arig next we stayed at a hotel on the seafront near Roa Pier called the Roa hotel which was Fabulous was down here James yep yeah look there it says Roa Hotel parking's a lion to greet us oh this is rather cool isn't it look at these oh it's tree Lin wow we we're going Posh tonight welcome to the home with poetic license that's one of the bars

Here make a U-turn let's go finish this Fighting License thing the sign are Always Here This is where we're staying the Roa Hotel the White House on the FL do like a marina I've got to say and there you go Suns got a little Marina by the docks tast we got time walk we've got quite a lot to do sort of around this sort of

Area haven't we so yeah let have a walk this is the fans music you know we're we're a museum it's not just for Sunland it's for all football fans but of course there is a lot of sunlet stuff here just have a Wonder out you go through there's a bar open

Through there right uh there should be somebody behind what's your name Dave Dave cheers Dave thank you very much thank you I hope I'm getting this right there was a corner and it got knocked down to um Ian Porterfield came to him on his wrong foot and he smashed it and

As you can see there nothing Le could do about no two on the line as well want the two on each post yeah keep and it sted at 1 n yeah and you were second division then were you yeah yeah we were remember near the bottom of the second

Division when Bob sto took off them wow oh well we at stoko oh that's that's the connection it wasn't yeah it's the it's from The Boardroom at roer Park so that's Bob Stoko's jacket yeah he' just sat there and well I think that was yeah that was special for

73 okay yeah yeah they're just saying that Sunderland are kind of stuck in 73 like we're stuck in 53 for3 yeah yeah before my time before mine well Matthew well it was a it was a Matthews final but Morty scored the atrick so yeah And only G Fletcher and got injured at Wembley come on the Super S this is really built with love this place sh turn Styles highly recommend that actually did you what highly recommend a visit to that museum yeah good yeah definitely it's if you're a football fan yeah you

Love it it's predom them but there's loads of football stuff good Jane is the editor of the Blackpool fanzine and she wanted to go and see the Sunderland fanzine Cafe hello Hi I would say like yeah yeah well I'm doing four a season so yeah oh that's f one really have you got have you got Change shortbread Jam sandwich basically with I look very nice world Famous famous pink SL right what Ry time 5:00 you're in your elements here oh yeah there's three at want yeah what do you want I want well they've got their own Stout which I've got to have obviously because it's theirs they brewed it Oatmeal Stout they've also got um a cherry sour from

Wild weather which is one of my favorite breweries and then they've got a nice sort of table beer here 2 and a half% lemon beer from York I like is the one you said that there wild weather Cherry sour I thought that was going to stay

Like I'm Les you have to excuse me we'll move a lot of stuff back here for the days so a lot of bits pie migrating to the RO okay so this is the brewery here this is the brewery very you know vog was traditionally a you know it's a

Victorian Brewery it was yeah absolutely yeah well they used to sponsor black pool shirts that's right that's right of course that's I'm from Newcastle I'm a newcast United Support it's always a bit okay controversial but I I'm very happy being there say that than you um so it's pretty straightforward I very

Small five barel kit at the moment right okay so quite uh I wish I'd give the P I've literally just kind of a busy day so apologies it's not more tidy Mash tons over here Mash tons that's what hot like a tank yeah copper okay uh that's a a CT actually

So met vessels you know we've only got four we have a double gr to fill one so two days to fill one tank right okay um so the process of making a beer you put your Hops and stuff in no no no not the Hops no okay you mash your grain in

There so that's basically the most simple way possible you mix and grain with warm water temperature depend depend on what you want uh the enzymes that were going to help the plant grow they'll start cleaving starches and turning them into sugar that Sugar later on in the process will ferment but for

Now we're just sort of what we call sping so we're rinsing that grain pulling all those sugars out that the enzymes have chopped up right okay we'll collect that liquid in the copper old I call it a some people call it a brew CLE okay um and basically in there it gets

Boiled the boiling will sterilize it which is really really good and you know we'll add hops and other ingredients at this point which will sort of import different flavors bit a SP he com from Hops and okay quite a bit of P character come from there once it's been boiled

Yeah it gets transferred through heat exchanger so it gets cooled to fermentation temperatures so if you imagine it was you know 100° C yeah bring it down to 20 generally depending on the yeast but you know 20 is a good yeah easy middle ground right pop it

Into an FV add the yeast so then those sugars which we previously chopped up from the startch the yeast starts working on those and it luckily it excretes CO2 and uh ethanol so okay that process takes you know depending anything from 3 days to kind of yeah yeah longer than yeah

Depending on strange and St a certain beer at one time then another beer and a different beer on another day we keep yeah we keep it all separate like every recipe is an individual recipe no you know we I know some people would bre the same beer and maybe dry hop differently

Or something like that every recipe we have is a unique and independent recipe not for any fantastic we've been sat Vox beers and we're on a diet we can't have these pizzas but they look amazing if you get a chance to have one of these they smell amazing as well every been

Having them how long you been here cuz you I saw you painting this 3 weeks so we've got a place in C which is just down the and we're just starting setting up here so we're just getting the name out and getting KN oh yeah yeah honestly

They look amazing and they smell amazing we just just been eating them in there picture of the name yeah we just been in box we're on Instagram slice. suland on on Instagram Instagram yeah slice. suland okay all right have a good night on the last day before we left

Jane had been told that you might be able to see dolphins off the end of Roa Pier so let's go find out if we did there we are we're getting close to the lighthouse quite a long paer actually it does stretch a long way almost there oh it's got

A thing on the top showing you what direction it's pointing weather Ve right to the End well before we set off uh Jane want to come down here to the end of the pier to see if we could see any Dolphins didn't he because apparently there dolphins apparently it's a thing yeah but I can't see any today no but there's lots of nice bird life Bye I hope you've really enjoyed this video and if you have please give the video a like and also if you haven't yet subscribed please do we're trying to build this channel so there's a little button there you can just click on that if you want to see more of the football

  1. Sunderland is alright, not as bad as people say it is.
Yes the centre is lacking a little but i seen loads of regeneration going on when i was there.
They have lots of landmarks , more than newcastle has, which i was suprised about as you only ever see newcastle bridge on tv from up there.
Also sunderland has a top level seafront which i did not know they had, with bars and restaurants and it was very clean.

  2. Best pier in the world Roker, we also have car and bus rallies in the summer at Seaburn, and hopefully going to have our own 'Elstree studio' making blockbuster films. cannonball rock only place you can find it in Seaburn. had you came in the 1970's we were as big as Blackpool, Arnold out of the terminator films was actually at Seaburn fair at that time ! the tardis originated from Sunderland as well. the first timelord assistant actor was from Sunderland. you can go under the pier through a tunnel as well, biggest shipyard in the world 1950's, longest metal bridge at the time (Alexander) oldest mine in the world Wearmouth colliery.
