Hello everyone and welcome to today's edition of weekend cooking with Punit in today's edition we are going to prepare Moon Dal kit I'm going to use green moong Dal I have sprouted these green moon Dal by soaking them overnight you can also buy them online these are available nowadays um on quick Commerce
Apps uh directly uh one glass or one cup of Dal is what I'm using like I mentioned you can also use yellow Dal um if you don't want to use green moong Dal 1 cup of rice is what I'm going to use uh I'm going to soak rice keep it aside
For some time I'll use one onion couple of tomatoes 5 six cloves of garlic and then 1 in of Ginger these are the basic ingredients that are going to go into this recipe you can use any kind of rice basmati rice red rice white rice whatever kind of rice you are used to
Dal like I mentioned um you can either use green moong Dal you can use the regular moong Dal the yellow one uh as far as spices are concerned uh you can make it customized as per your taste you can control the amount of red chili powder or green chilies that go into
This particular preparation after finally chopping the onions tomatoes garlic and ginger we are going to take uh uh cooker and add some bit of ghe to it we'll wait till the ghee Heats after you notice that the ghee might is becoming hot you can add a
Couple of uh pinch of mustard seeds and cumin seeds and wait till they start splitting once you hear the sound you can add the onions be careful while you add onions for the first time um the oil will spill out and then after adding all the onions you
